I am in the process of shifting the focus of this blog to the wildlife of Mississippi. This will now be mostly a Wildlife/ Nature Photo and Story blog. As the past viewers will notice, I changed the name but not the address of the blog. It is still for the people in my eyes. I intend to write about the responsible viewing of wildlife and nature. I will mostly stick to wildlife that is native to Mississippi. Hope you enjoy!

My guess is a Green Heron. Nice capture. I'm hoping to see some nice wildlife soon, when I go on my next big nature walk.

i like it
Don't you just love the Green Heron's bright orange feet?!
And that neck must have been the origin of the phrase "rubbernecker" lol.
Nice green heron shots. I checked out your survey but one-line answers never work well for me. So my comment and encouragement to you would be to say, I like good photography and good wriitng, whether it is scientific and informative, or insprirational and poetic. You wil find your way, I'm sure. Follow your heart and write and photograph whatever inspires you. People will respond to your passion.
